Proper steps to maintain your appliance and maximize Its performance.
A well-maintained electric radiator lasts longer, uses less energy, and provides better heating. Dust, often invisible to the naked eye, can hinder heat distribution and increase electricity consumption. Fortunately, with quick and regular care, you can keep your radiator running at full efficiency – it only takes 15 minutes!

Step 1: Safety First
Before any handling, switch off your radiator and unplug it if it’s a mobile unit, or make sure it is completely disconnected from the power supply (circuit breaker off). Wait until the device is fully cooled down before starting the cleaning.
Step 2: Dust the Exterior
Use a soft microfiber cloth or an anti-static duster. Wipe down the front and sides of the radiator without using any abrasive products. Don’t forget less visible areas such as the underside or the gaps, which tend to collect dust quickly.
Step 3: Clean the Grilles and Vents
Use a soft brush (such as a clean paintbrush) or the narrow nozzle of a vacuum cleaner to remove dust trapped in the grilles, air vents, or internal fins. This step is essential, as dirt often builds up in these areas and blocks the flow of warm air.
Step 4: Be Careful with Moisture
Never use water directly on your radiator. If needed, slightly dampen your cloth (just barely moist, never wet), especially for marks on the front panel. Always dry the surface afterward with a clean, dry cloth.
Step 5: Plug Back In and Check
Once the radiator is completely clean and dry, you can plug it back in or switch the circuit breaker back on. Turn it on and make sure the air flows properly, without any burning dust smell. Regular cleaning helps prevent this kind of inconvenience.
Conclusion: A Small Effort, a Big Impact
Cleaning your electric radiator takes only 15 minutes but makes all the difference:
Better heat distribution
Lower energy consumption
Fewer unpleasant odors
Longer lifespan
Remember to repeat this process at least twice a year, especially before and after the heating season.
