MaPrimeRénov’ Co-ownership: why the cost is finally becoming more readable

We explain to you how renovation projects are now better supported, and why their financing is becoming more understandable for co-owners.
When an energy renovation project is discussed as a condominium, the first reaction is often related to cost. Very high global amounts can quickly slow down decisions, simply because they remain difficult to grasp on an individual scale.
Today, this approach is evolving. With measures like MaPrimeRénov’ Co-ownership and the support of specialized actors, financing becomes more readable, more concrete... and therefore more accessible.

Global amounts that are difficult to understand
Announcing a multi-million euro project can create an immediate block. This type of figure, although exact, remains abstract for most co-owners.
What really matters is not the total cost of the project, but what it represents individually. Without this translation, it is difficult to project oneself and make a decision.
Make the cost concrete and understandable
Today, the challenge is to transform these global amounts into more meaningful data.
A project can thus be presented in different ways:
an average share per dwelling
an estimate of the remaining costs
or even an equivalent in monthly installments
Moving from a global cost to a monthly expenditure allows you to better understand the real impact of the project. It is often at this point that decisions become more concrete.
The key role of PMO in projects
To support this transformation, project management assistants (PMS) play a central role.
Their mission is to help condominiums structure their project by taking into account all aspects:
identification of available aid (national and local),
mounting of the financing plan,
search for solutions for the rest at expense.
Since 2025, these support services have been structured with initiatives such as the Afast, which brings together several specialized firms at the national level.
A renovation that also concerns the equipment
Energy renovation is not limited to insulation or facades. It also includes the housing equipment, in particular heating, which plays a central role in comfort and energy consumption.
Rethinking a renovation project also means reflecting on the solutions implemented inside the home, in order to ensure consistency between energy performance and daily use.
Support that has become essential
As part of MaPrimeRénov’ Co-ownership, the use of an AMO is now mandatory. This choice aims to secure projects and make them more accessible.
Thanks to this support, co-owners have a clearer vision:
actionable aid,
the actual cost of the project,
the financial impact over time.
A new way of approaching renovation
This change in method transforms the way projects are perceived. We are no longer talking only about a high overall cost, but about a structured investment, explained and anticipated.
The renovation then becomes more understandable, and above all more concrete for each co-owner.
Towards more accessible and coherent projects
With measures like MaPrimeRénov’ Co-ownership, several tens of thousands of homes should be affected in the coming years.
In this context, the choice of equipment takes on its importance. More efficient heating solutions make it possible not only to improve comfort, but also to be part of a long-term energy management approach.
At Fogo, we design radiators designed to support these changes, combining design, performance and efficiency, in order to offer solutions adapted to the requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s homes.
